Virtual Psychotherapy sessions for children & Adults
I specialize in a wide range of anxiety related diagnoses including PTSD (for first responders, frontline workers, and emergency personnel), generalized anxiety disorder, social anxiety disorder and anxiety attachment style related issues. My aim is to bring a coaching based approach to psychotherapy that has a results driven approach, supporting individuals one-on-one.
I am a Registered Psychotherapist and a University of Toronto graduate with a Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University. I am also a supervisor for psychotherapists in training and have been delivering workshops for 15+ years working with child and family facing organizations like Humber College City Wide Training, daycare centres and schools across the GTA to drive training initiatives to support and equip educators with tools and information about how to navigate and support the emotional landscape for children.
I work with individuals, young adults and working professionals who are looking to heal current and past trauma, those experiencing grief, interpersonal stress in relationships, and want to improve their ability to manage stress, anxiety, and change. I specialize in anxiety, grief and loss, anger management, emotional overwhelm, and depression.
I work with adolescents and young adults on topics related to anxiety, grief, divorce, and school stress. I specialize in helping young adults to understand their emotional experience and work through it.
I deliver workshops for teachers and parents on emotional development practices in the home and the classrooms for children. I regularly present to ECE educators at Humber College and affiliates such as George Brown College and CDRCP.
I provide clinical supervision and consultation for therapists looking for a practicum site or psychotherapists looking to elevate their clinical practice. I offer individual and group supervision services designed to foster development as a clinician.
My work is centred around my belief that people are resourceful and do the best they can at any given moment in time. I’ve always been interested in peoples’ stories; the experiences that shape our sense of self and others. You are truly the expert in your own life and the work we do together will hopefully support you to see your own capacity to navigate life’s challenges. I work with anxiety disorders and specialize in obsessive compulsive disorder, but I also work with people struggling with grief, life transitions and depression.
I’m a Registered Social Worker with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers. I have a Master’s Degree in Social Work from Wilfrid Laurier University and have been practicing for over 20 years. I’ve been fortunate to gain rich experience working across many settings including Lakeridge Health Centre, Trillium Health Centre, Peel District School Board and the Temerty Faculty of Medicine at the University of Toronto. I’m also a Practicum Supervisor through the Faculty of Social Work at the University of Toronto where I’m fortunate to support MSW candidates.
My focus is individuals with anxiety, life transitions, grief, depression and past trauma. My work is heavily influenced by my training in family therapy and the impact of early life experiences as well as the systems we exist within. I help clients to better understand their patterns but I also offer concrete ways to manage difficult emotions.
I also offer clinical supervision for social workers who are seeking a space to grow therapeutically. While I offer an additional lens for your cases, I also focus on use of self in therapy and am invested in therapist well being.
As a qualifying psychotherapist with a foundation in mindfulness and self-compassion, my practice is dedicated to creating a caring and safe space where individuals, adolescents, and families can navigate life’s challenges, gain personal awareness and define and work toward meaningful goals. My approach combines empathy, collaboration, and practical tools to empower clients on their journey to healing and growth.
Currently, I am completing my Master of Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University and bring over four years of experience as a Certified Mindful Self-Compassion (MSC) Instructor. My programs for adults and teens are rooted in evidence-based practices and delivered with warmth and understanding. Having experienced the transformative power of self-compassion in my own life, I am passionate about helping others discover their inner strength, reduce self-criticism, and cultivate emotional resilience.
Through a compassionate and collaborative approach, I offer a safe space for individuals to navigate challenges such as anxiety, depression, and life transitions. The process focuses on connecting clients with strategies that foster self-acceptance and kindness while exploring the blocks that hold them back. Together, we determine the best path forward, building resilience and momentum for a more fulfilling life.
Adolescents and young adults often face a unique combination of pressures, from academic stress and family dynamics to anxiety, identity exploration, and major life transitions. Therapy provides a safe, supportive space where teens can express themselves openly, develop emotional awareness, and learn practical tools to navigate these challenges. The goal is to help young people define their values in order to build confidence, resilience, and a stronger sense of self.
Mindful Self-Compassion (MSC) workshops are an integral part of my practice. This eight-week, evidence-based program, developed by Dr. Kristin Neff and Dr. Christopher Germer, blends mindfulness and self-compassion exercises to foster emotional resilience, reduce self-criticism, and build a kinder relationship with oneself. Participants gain practical tools for managing difficult emotions and enhancing overall well-being in a supportive group setting. Witnessing participants’ growth during these workshops is one of the most fulfilling parts of my work.
